Set to headline Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest LA pre-party
This November/December, Cattle Decapitation will headline “The Geocidal Tendencies Tour” in North America, featuring Atheist, Full of Hell, Primitive Man, Author & Punisher, and Vitriol as support. The extensive trek will kick off just before the release of Cattle Decapitation‘s long-awaited 9th studio album, Death Atlas, due out November 29th via Metal Blade Records.
Additionally, Cattle Decapitation will headline the official Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest LA pre-party, which takes place on December 12th at The Regent in Los Angeles, CA. Atheist, Primitive Man, Author & Punisher, and Vitriol are once again joining the bill as support.
Vocalist Travis Ryan comments: “It’s that time again! We’ve put together quite a lineup for our first headlining tour for our new album ‘Death Atlas‘! In the spirit of diversity and keeping things interesting, we’ll be hitting the road this November with Atheist, our hometown buddy Author & Punisher, with Full of Hell and Primitive Man switching on some dates – plus, kicking off the festivities every night will be Portland’s Vitriol! Our new album will be out, and we’ll be ripping through tracks on it nightly and playing some others that we haven’t done in a while. Don’t miss this absolute monster of a tour!!!”

Stay tuned for more details about Death Atlas coming soon! Travis Ryan adds: “Fans soon will witness the culmination of this last year’s blood, sweat and tears honed to a devastating, brutal and impactful audio document that I feel will resonate with fans of the last few records for years to come. Musically and lyrically, there is a lot of grief, anger, hate, passion and emotion poured into this one and we have found these can be excellent ingredients for extreme metal. We are once again rejuvenated and ready to spread the death and despair over this sphere that is perpetually being torn apart by us insignificants. There is no map to guide you out of this one – ‘Death Atlas‘ is coming!”

Ex-Gridlink guitarist Takafumi Matsubara has announced his debut solo album Strange, Beautiful And Fast, which is very aptly titled. Matsubara's debut single from the record 'Stuttered Rope' features Full Of Hell vocalist Dylan Walker, ex-Gridlink drummer Bryan Fajardo, and Black Ganion bassist and bass synth player Hiroyuki Uno. Here's what Matsubara had to say about the record.
4 YEARS IN THE MAKING. TAKAFUMI MATSUBARA (Gridlink, Mortalized, Retortion Terror) returns with his Solo Album consisting appearances from Grindcore Players Worldwide . A 17 Track cacophony of howling solos and blast beats fueled by the passing of his great friend HEE CHUNG (Unholy Grave) . An album that not only pays condolences to his friend but also celebrates the friendships that Grindcore has brought to him through these years of up’s and down due to his health. All the beautiful people he has connected through in these 4 years that love fast and strange music celebrating Grindcore in ONE ALBUM. It’s a thrilling ride from start to the finish with every song howling deep with Emotions into the minds of every listener that will listen to this album . A once in a generation album that will leave it’s mark for years to come . PREPARE TO BLAST YOUR MIND !!!
Check out the insane lineup for the record below and pre-order Strange, Beautiful And Fast here before its September 20 release date.
'Cowboys from Hell' is a song by the heavy metal group Pantera from the album of the same name. Pantera used the phrase 'Cowboys from Hell' (or its abbreviation, CFH) liberally in its image and merchandise. The song showcases Dimebag Darrell's style of guitar playing.
